    Antique tractor thread

Thanks. I was fortunate to find a low hour tractor with everything working, only needing paint.

    Buy or lease torch tanks?

I'll throw this out. I use propane as fuel gas with a BBQ tank as fuel supply. Cheap alternative to buying another expensive tank. Torch tips for LP gas are reasonable cost and regular is same. Works for me.

A little work at the log pile this morning.....

Good morning. Hot humid and rain in the forecast. Works for me. Lawn looks nice and green. Some years it burns up in August.

    Broccoli

    Gotcha!

    Broccoli

I didn't think cold could hurt broccili after last year. We had a hot, dry summer here in Iowa last year and I gave up watering my garden in the worst of it during July. The flavor of my broccoli seemed a little off and I blamed it on the heat and dry. I waited until the frost had killed my...

    346's are now NLA

Me, but it appears that I waited too long. Oh well, that gives me an excuse to pursue an 80cc saw instead!

    Score.....Husky 345

Color me happy! I picked up a Husky 345 at a garage sale to go with my 350 that I have had for seven years, it never hurts to have a 'back-up' saw (or two or three), RIGHT? Cover was marked, "Parts saw - no run". I buy it with the understanding that ignition module is toast. Long story made...

Why do people look at me funny for having saws in the house

That gives me an idea....that camshaft would be the ultimate bone for my 2 year old black lab to gnaw on since he still likes chewing on things! :msp_biggrin:

    Iowa Fall GTG

Thanks to everyone for all the video and still pics, it looks like a grand time was had by all! Right 'next door' to me too, hope I can make it to the next one!

where do you draw the line with saw perfection, and maintenance?

Okay, fair enough. But if you let on that they get tucked in with you when you go to bed at night that is wayyyyy over the top!:msp_ohmy::hmm3grin2orange:

    Antique tractors and cars

My 1949 Farmall "M" busy with snow duty last December. Mother Nature has quite a sense of humor, this was the first snow of the year - hard packed snow blew into the driveway 3 feet deep. Remind me why I love Iowa, I keep forgetting! :taped:

346XP Saga NOT OVER, Husvarna says NO NEW SAW FOR YOU!!!!!!!

I've got a Woods RD8400 (7') finish mower that is 6 years old this year. When I got it home (new) I was a bit concerned over the 'Made in China' gearbox and it's five year warranty. I guess it should last me a long time because the gearbox is rated for 60 horsepower and I've got it hitched to a...

Help- Generator not putting out power

While you are at it, connect a volt meter to the leads of the 100 watt lamp and check the actual voltage under load.

Help- Generator not putting out power

Ummmm.....get it running and manually over speed the engine (override governor) without any loads connected and see if power appears at normal rpm afterwards. I had this happen on some little chink built 1500 watt unit once.

    Garage sale Mac find....

It was finally my turn to grab a bargain chainsaw at a garage sale! Here is the Saturday afternoon saga: There it was, sitting on the table amidst all the other (mostly household) stuff, the mighty Mac 'Eager Beaver', complete with dull 14" bar & chain. I pull the rope starter while...
