    Sold 562xp

2100 CD, runs, just to much for me, bought it new in about 1980, still runs, still using original 36" bar. Air filter cover is cracked, manual oiler missing, no switch, it is always on.

Post pictures of your woodpile/splitting area

New splitter, a great improvement over the monster maul , works great splits way tougher stuff than expected. Split 3' diameter madrone if I can get it on the table. I rip everything to sizes my kids or I can man handle, splits it all.

    Fire

Thanks, we have lots of trees marked and It is good to know the plan. Looks to me like they could remove a lot more, most of the P1 are just stems with the limbs burned completely off. They (we) have some time, not like dead snags yet. What a mess.

    Wedge Belt

In the winter wet and mud I use a 50' filler in a 75' case, it always winds up. Always have a wrap on the spindle, saves walking off the end. Darn things are gettin expensive. I just use 1 tape at a time, I'm easily confused. I have 1/2 a dozen spares floating around the office (pickup). I use...

    Logging with oxen or horses

There used to be a guy in Grass Valley that horse logged, went out on one of his jobs and it was mostly going for fire wood. Can't skid much of a log by horse if there is any adverse at all. Teams 2 abreast take just as much space as a small skidder and you are right about feeding equipment...
