    Burning Elm.

Nobody gonna mention finding elm bark beetles on windowsills and curtains? I cant be the only one... Usually when splitting dead elm I find lotsa borer larva under the loose bark.

So I pruned an American Elm in 2014.. (Dutch Elm Disease)

Bark beetles + fungi cause a pruned tree to succumb rather than an unpruned one that is immediately adjacent to it? Or both of em done for? Do we have a winner here if tree B only lives a year longer than tree A? And tree A that got pruned attracted 5500 beetles, whereas tree B only 1280?

How did you guys get over heights

Getting shaken like a chew toy in the jaws of a Rottweiler is far far worse. After the fear subsides, commission of homicide enters my mind. Rage. Tossing lsundry down the basement stairs sometimes results in the sensation of me falling. Not good.

So I pruned an American Elm in 2014.. (Dutch Elm Disease)

I don't know how it works, esp. when it isn't clearcut black or white. Can the patient be partially pregnant? I was told once (by a cop) that insurance co's like to apportion a percentage of blame (responsibility) to both parties in a dispute. Mebbe they make more $$$ that way, and it has...

How likely is it that your pruning contributed to the death of that tree? 100% certainty seems impossible to prove, as per ATH's pertinent questions in his post. Unfortunately, so does 0% (given the timing of said pruning).

    ISA certified arborist embarrassingly easy.

YES. (I've done the exam 3X in 17 or 18 years) The industry standard has gone from being a high school to a primary school diploma. Sad. Took their TRAQ thing last year. It was ok, imo, ($700 cash cow), but I think much of that material should be rolled into the CA certification.
