    Coals, like coal, produce useable heat from a grate & air through the grate & coals/coal.

    I Built a Forced Air Outdoor Stove

    Heat dump would be a fusible link that melted when the temp got too high & possibly overheat/warp the furnace. Foremost, I think you'll have to replace the elbow with a tee & figure out how to get the top of the tee to open when furnace overheats.

    You need a "heat dump" from the upper duct in case the power goes out? So the furnace doesn't overheat.

    Worst case scenario is, place the wood on anything & the cover with a tarp to ground level. Then, the warmer ground can migrate humidity through the pile to the cold top of the tarp.

    chimney cleaning/flu fire

    Check the top tile for cracks. If not cracked, chimney may be ok. If hesitant, hire a pro to drop a camera & inspect the whole chimney.

    why do i keep having explosions!!!???

    The stove & chimney are full of uncombusted gas & when it combusts it explodes. Simple fix may be to open the stove door & let the gas evacuate before reigniting?
