Try a little WD-40 on the clutch once in a while. I leave the little straw on and squirt a few seconds worth to the inside of the clutch once in a great while. I do this while the motor is at idle. It helps keep it things free'd up.

For the first part... No vertical kinetic splitter that I know of. Well, there is that youtube video of the one that has wedges welded to a giant (6ft plus) flywheel. Kinda dangerous but I guess it is a kinetic splitter. And for the second part of you post... Really? !!!! :msp_smile...

You should have read the DR rapidfire threads... you might have made a different decision. Lot's of happy home owners, but mostly disgruntled commercial users.

It's doubtful that I will ever do more than 15-20 cord a year. You should talk to Paul about which model is best for your situation. He had a number of cords produced for a break off point between the J model and the HD. I can't remember if it was 50 or 100 cord/yr.
