Even more other uses for firewood...

The one I have in mind is at least 24' and if we put it on top of the load we might make it a little longer.

Even more other uses for firewood...

How wide is at the top? I just might have just the log you need! I just got all of the tires replaced on the trailer and can load up a load and put the special log on top.

    This week's tasks

It doesn't have to be unloaded this week. You can maybe take a couple of weeks. Then I will need it back to load again! Pulled up 6 more logs out of the woods today. Must haveenough for two more loads. :-)

    This week's tasks

And the best part is that when you get that mess cleaned up there are at least three more loads here that are ready to go your way.

Did a little cutting over the weekend

When I take wood to my son-in law I can take about 2.5 full cords. It is all 20' to 24' long and I let him cut and split it.

Did a little cutting over the weekend

I Know what you mean. I like cutting wood and my son-in law has an ODB. So I try to haul some to him. He is 3 hours away but then I can see my grand kids. that makes it all worth while.

    Sharpening number 2

They both will work but after I switched to 13/64 I seemed it did a better job and stayed sharp longer. But that may just be my imagination.

How Many Full Cords In This Pile?

What? You're using the tractor? What happened to the wheelbarrow? You must be getting soft!

    propane tanks in mi

It is not too small but is super efficient, that is one of the reasons we don't have an OWB. The other is age. Right now I love cutting and working with wood but can I still do it in 3 or 4 years? Don't know, so now I cut wood for my son-in-law who does have one.

    propane tanks in mi

I bought a 1000 gal. tank a couple of years ago. When I called a company to get it filled they wouldn't do it because my bill of sale was from an individual in stead of a major supplier. They seemed to think that there was no way to check to see if it was a "legal" sale. I did find a...

Oak vs Hickory... the best firewood?

They are both fantastic fire woods once you get the Hickory split. It can be a pain to split. But it is still one of the best woods.

I'm not sure I can keep up with the Ash suppy

I checked some of ours today and the ones that are dead but standing seem to be all right. A couple of broken off but still hung up seem punky a ways up the tree, maybe 4' to 8' up. Will have to get those out before they get any worse. But with daylight saving time coming I might not have as...

What causes cast iron woodstove to crack? Stove dealer says green wood has to do with

It would seem to me that green wood wouldn't bother as much because it doesn't burn as hot as good dry. I think you're right that it is a "cop out" by the dealer.

I'm not sure I can keep up with the Ash suppy

We have not seen too much of that around here, but in the woods they may have been dead longer then we know. The last ones we cut for you seemed alright. The ones we used in the shop stove were alright too. Will get out today and check some more.

Looking for a firewood cutting buddy(s) in/around my area.....to share the burden

Ya, but then I lose points with my daughter, SIL, and my grand daughters. And I'm not sure I could find Sister Lakes.

Looking for a firewood cutting buddy(s) in/around my area.....to share the burden

I think it sounds like a great idea. But the same problem, Not near enough. My neighbor and I cut some unwanted trees and down stuff and then load up LOGS that I take to my son-in-law that lives all the way across the state. But we don't have to cut it all up or split it. We just do it because...

Gave the little saw a workout today

It like you have a lot of woods around you. Anywhere near the state forest?
