    Free to a new home

Hi all, haven't posted much lately, been busy. Anywho, it's time for a little shop cleaning and I need to get rid of a few items. Cost? Nothing except unless you'd like to reimburse my shipping costs. I should be able to get them to fit in USPS Flat Rate boxes. I just can't bring myself to...

    Stihl 015 Build Thread

Hey guys, I've seen alot of posts recently about the little 015 top handle saw that Stihl made for many years. I bought this white one from another member here on AS and he asked if I could post up a thread on the build. I says Sure! I've done many of these and have several that I use for...

Stihl 280C with M-Tronic (sort of)

I tore into a fairly new 280C yesterday becuase it would die if you touched the throttle. The high side of the carb is controlled by the same contraption that controls the entire carburetor on the 441 M-Tronic. The 280's carb allows adjustment of the low side and idle speed, the 441 does not.

    Gas Powered Impact Wrench

This was traded in the other day. I'd like to get the old girl running but I'm gonna need some parts. Any idea what powerhead this is?

    Inside the 441 M-Tronic Carb.

I've had this saw on my bench for awhile now and finally got most of the parts in to fix it. It's in the shop because the owner dropped a tree on it and busted up the tank housing and broke a chunk off the left case half. While it's on the bench, I thought I'd tear into the electronic...

    One Ring or Two?

Just a quick question, not trying to start a war. (Husky vs. Stihl vs. Whatever.) I am curious to learn why some manufacturers use 1 piston ring while others have 2. I've heard 2 is more stable. I've heard 1 allows higher revs. This would apply to all 2 strokes, not just chainsaws. Just...

    Oregon 72 LPX/LGX Chain Question

Here's another chain-related question: This is a brand new piece of Oregon 72 full chisel. I'm wondering what's the purpose of the rounded drive links and will they work on a regular spur/rim sprocket? I've never seen drive links like these before. Thanks.

    Is this a Lancaster?

I'm thinking it's a Lancaster from info in another post. Just thought I'd re-post the pictures and see if I could get a model or other info. Thanks. je

    Jumped head first into CAD

I'm new here, been reading many posts for a while (lurking) and I feel I'm in with a good bunch of folks here. Anyway, this weekend I did some horse tradin with a friend of mine and aquired a few chainsaws. Here's some group photos with some individual ones to follow. Hope you can see these...
