Pink Fungus Growing on Live Oaks

It is the same shape as the white lichens that grow on oak trees. I can't post a pic because I don't have the technology. The trees are dropping their leaves and what leaves are remaining are chloritic. Its only growing on the oaks. The rest of the trees in the yard are healthy.

I take a double wrap around the tree with my buck strap. its just as good as tying in to the trunk. I've rode a couple of pines like that. Not having a groundman who is good on a rope really sucks. I've got a great ropesman. You've gotta have someone you trust. There is a guy down here who...

    Saw lanyard

I use a regular dog leash. I wrap the loop through the saw and hook the other end to my saddle. I like one that hangs below my feet so I never get into a position where my leash is to short to reach the branch I'm streching out to cut. I don't like working without my saw being secured.

    Question about poison oak/ivy/sumac

I am not allergic to poision Ivy poison oak. So I always get the nasty vined up trees. I do know a few guys who use cheap hairspray (like aqua net) they spray all exposed skin before getting into it. Its supposed to close your pores. It seems to me like it works.
