Yep, I usually use two screws.

They sure make for a strong running saw.

Are you into modifying saws? If you are you should do the MS 660 piston in a Poulan 505. Open the ports and then add some finger ports. A very nice combination and not that hard to do. There are plenty of people on here who have done it. This is one I did. I use it for milling.

Yep I saw that 395 also. I have 3 already so I let it go.

Is there something special you did to your 4000 because otherwise no comparison at all to a 505.

Yep, I like those 335's. I think they are great all-around saws for their size.

I have 3 of these saws. Here is a pic of a different one. I did some welding on the clutch side on this one.

Made a trip to the mountains yesterday and took the T\A 3750. This should keep me warm.

I agree with you Greg. Things that are older seem to have go way up in money. Of course, they do not make saws like they used to either. I would much rather use an older saw and be able to tweak it any way I want. I just got back from the mountains yesterday and cut my 2/3 of a cord...

The 5020 is a 50cc saw and is ok. It is a strato design and you really cannot do a lot of modifying to it. They do benefit from a good muffler mod and they will perform pretty much like a 50cc saw. Worth fixing up I would say yes. I have two by the way.

Hi Kevin. Those Poulan wild thing builds would be something to see. As for me I have been using my saws more than working on them which is a good thing. Have to keep up with the firewood.

Hi Tim. Things are well. I have made one trip so far to the mountains for my annual wood supply of lodge pole. The area has been burned out about 3 times now and it is getting harder to find good wood there. I am still playing with the saws but not as much as I use to. I am playing...
