    Husqvarna 44 ignition coil Q.

Might be the magnet polarity is reversed on the different flywheels as mentioned in post #22. Try spinning the flywheel backwards and see if there's spark... The 55 coil shouldn't need a chip, there should be aftermarket chips available for the 44 ignition also. Here's a recipe to make one...

    Jonsered Chainsaws

Picked these two up recently within a couple weeks of each other, cleaner/'upgraded' examples of ones I already had, both good runners. Both of the new ones cost the same $'s. Funny too that both of my others previously shared the space on the shelf next to each other. The 2051 was from a...

    Is this a lightning strike?

I've read that it super heats the moisture in the tree and basically creates a steam explosion, thus no charring.

    Partner Chainsaw Thread

Nice, must not be many of those in the US. What's the cylinder bore dia and/or model equivalent in partner/jred? Does it have a tag or is it a stamped in serial #?

i need help identfiying this dynamark chainsaw

Yeah, it basically is the blue one, very nice condition too. Search the model #'s I mentioned, they were a fairly popular saw and there's plenty of info out there.

i need help identfiying this dynamark chainsaw

Does appear to be a Lombard based model, likely AP/AL 42 or Comango, both 69cc. There was also one in this chassis at 80+cc, model escapes me but possibly Lightening something or other. Then also a model with a/v. From evidence I've come across, the XL12 was the first of this design but the...

    Jonsered Chainsaws

Someone likely put on one of the longer air injection pulleys for the wider cover on a narrower/older cover to cause that. Between the all the versions in this family of saws there were maybe 5 different starter pulleys, most of the cross compatibility issues being with which cover it goes with...

    Husqvarna 365 Special

What huskihl is getting at is that the bolt on boot means it's the non sp cylinder with the open ports.

Want to Sell Stihl 044 sold

To get that sort of info from the s#, you need someone with dealer status to look it up. People often start "can somebody please look up my s#?" threads here for stihl saws and often get replies.

Sheared flywheel key is always suspect, assuming there's also adequate compression.

50zn14 is correct for a 268xp, not sure why it would necessarily be a 'replacement'...

    Stihl 044 10mm or 12mm?

Yup, 12mm, an early one though that should have the slant fin cylinder, best of both worlds so to speak. Cutoff for 10mm is 129583701.

5 saws not passing oil to chain HELP PLEASE

Sounds like a poltergeist issue that only an exorcism can cure, luckily a mild poltergeist 'cause possessed saws could really be a serious issue. Or alternatively a gypsy curse. I guess gremlins are another possibility. Tough one... :surprised3:

Husky collectors, what models are you after/have already and why?

My notes have 266 production starting in '81 but yours is no '82, so should indeed be a '92 I have the latest IPL down as being dated 1993 and the latest operators manual 1997, they did also continue to produce them at the TOMOS factory for some time after Sweden stopped. I have a...
