Hey guys if you are pressure testing crankcase seals can you use a cylinder leak down tool? I tried it today at 10psi held the pull rope to keep it from leaking out the exhaust. Is this correct?

Joey helped me figure it out. Spark plug was crap - at least so far. I know I need gasket between carb and air box. And then fiddle with tuning.

I found part # 84081, is that it? One has round hole in center other has little cutouts on sides of that makes sense. Does that matter?

Saw starts and runs for little bit. Then it revs up and stalls out. Pretty sure gasket between carb and block is shot. Where can I find a replacement? I’m clearly not using right keywords as I keep getting carb kit results!

Thats good to know. Looks like a need a chain brake handle and a couple of bar nuts. Hopefully my carb kit will be here tomorrow and I can see if it runs.

Hey guys it’s been while. Pulled out my PM 8200 I bought a couple years ago and trying to get running. Good news it’ll run with gas down the carb! First time I’ve gotten it to do that. Coil was pretty well off the flywheel. I see a little scoring on the piston. Compression is 145-150 psi. What...

Perfect timing. What carb does that saw use? I just grabbed a 335 but I can't find what carb kit it needs.

    Poulan Pro 335 carb kit???

I picked up the older PP 335 from the 80s I believe it is. The acres site has it as a Walbro carb but I cannot find which kit fits it. Anybody know?

    Makita EK7651H help

I've started a 5000 watt generator with a drill before, just didn't know if it would work for a chain/chop saw. It looks to be in really good shape. Just missing recoil, gas cap, and oil cap. And if anyone knows I wonder if I could swap a P/C from a 7301 on there if need be???

    Makita EK7651H help

Picked up this concrete/chop saw to tinker with. This thing has the automatic compression release built in. My question is: Can I test compression putting a drill/socket where starter would go? (Its missing starter recoil - which I ordered). Also anyone have any experience with this type...

Hey Mark, I might be interested. What you askin? Side Note: anyone have a electronic ignition coil that would fit an 8200?
