    The Danish pie cut....

I think the point of the video was to demonstrate the technique, not to cut the tree down as fast as possible hence the very relaxed pace. Using the 'pie', from which ever country it comes from only takes a couple of seconds longer than any other technique as long as a face cut is needed. I use...

    to M-TRONIC or not ---261

Looking at the german stihl website, the only non-M-tronic models listed are 201, 461 an 880. 201 is getting m-tronic in the nearby future also I´ve been told...

    Bar oil pouring made easy

If you mean the green cap on the older husky can, its just a cap for the mix spout. There's a place to hold it, the cap on mine has been missing for ages anyway since you dont't really need it...

    Bar oil pouring made easy

Hi, I´ve used my Stihl combican in -28 C, thats about -19 fahrenheit i think, no problems. Winter grade oil is a must if you want to get it out of any kind of can when it´s that cold (without the aid of scrench that is...) I´ve got the e-lux one as well, not as good in cold and it only has the...

    Husky 562 Primer Bulb

...Should´ve proboably also mentioned that I´m very pleased with the existence of a primer bulb on my stihl KM90 multitool- engine. On that piece of kit it certainly makes a difference.

    Husky 562 Primer Bulb

To be honest I don´t really notice any difference in ease of starting if I use the primer bulb or not, so usually I won´t bother with it anymore. It takes 4-5 pulls to get the 2260 going (cold start) either way. So, the question why should it be there at all is very appropriate in my opinion...

    new updated 562xp

I think this is the same fix that was used on my CS2260, it seems to have cured the hot start issue.

Interesting Stihl 261 "tune up" kit

I´m going to pick up a 16" picco bar & ps3 chain loops for the 261 tomorrow. I´ve ran picco on 026 before and it is more comfortable and a little faster. The chains wear faster though. Haven´t been using picco for a while now since my nearby dealer (or any stihl dealer I know of) doesn´t...

Got more than i hoped for...(026/260 stuff)

I´ve had a closer look at the parts and it seems this one has barely seen wood, even the clutch side cover is like new, even from the inside... beats me why they haven´t taken it back to the shop if it has died that quickly after it´s been taken to use. I still see no mechanical damage...

Got more than i hoped for...(026/260 stuff)

I was visiting my old school of forestry and thought I´d ask if they still might have some 026 carcasses I could get a new rear handle top cover for my 026 ( it was in the wrong place at the wrong time:bulgy-eyes: ). This is what i came home with: There should be a whole 260 in there, it...

Stihl 261 vs. Husky 550 XP

The hot start issue has been quite common in 550´s, over here in Finland anyway. I had the same problem in my cs2260, first only now and then but recently it got a lot worse, almost consistently taking ~50 pulls to get it going after filling up. It was just fixed under warranty, the cure...

    The 560 XP's red sister, Jonsered 2260 !

Not a purchase yet, i got it for a trial and was told to run it hard... I´ll try my best! It does seem so appealing though I might not be able to part with it...

    The 560 XP's red sister, Jonsered 2260 !

...picked her up today. Pity it came with a 13 inch bar, i could have made the first cuts already today if I would´ve had a sensible bar to use... now it will have to wait till wednesday.

    The 560 XP's red sister, Jonsered 2260 !

I talked to jonsered dealer rep. at a local shop (here in Finland that is...) and his estimate was the 2260 will be available here within a month. He also took my contact information and said they could try and get one to my local shop for trying out even before that...
