    Husqvarna 61 2 part coil

It's been a while but made some progress with this saw. We finally came across a second good running 61 locally for cheap so snapped it up. This evening I swapped the front half of the known good coil onto the bad saw (figuring that was the most likely culprit) and away she goes... it runs...

Huztl 372 kit - Needed/Recommended tools, OEM parts, etc?

I've been nothing but impressed with my 365/372 bb kit that I put together fairly recently. Imo it has been the best of the kits I've assembled and that includes two 660s. I had a small issue with a cracked case half but that was almost certainly a one off and in any case Huztl sent a...

    Husqvarna model ?

Well that was all a waste of time... the a hole decided to sell it to someone else late last night knowing I'd made plans to collect it this morning:rolleyes:

    Husqvarna model ?

Thank you all for confirming what I thought. I've taken a punt and committed to buy it and will be picking it up tomorrow morning. I figured it's got to be worth the £50 price tag as spares for my 281 but apparently it runs well (I've heard that before though) perhaps it'll be worth spending...

    Husqvarna model ?

I didn't want to influence any suggestions (or show my lack of husky knowledge) but that was my initial guess it has more than a few similarities with my 281xp.

    Husqvarna model ?

This popped up on a local selling group can anyone id the model? I'd have half a chance with Stihl but relatively new to Huskys...

    Huztl Farmertec 372 Build Kit

I sent the first message through their website on 19th July the last email I had from them (to say they were going to dispatch a replacement case half) was on 27th... the part arrived in the post on the 3rd August. So 8 days or so to get a replacement dispatched and another 7 days to arrive...

    Huztl Farmertec 372 Build Kit

I couldn't agree more Walter! I put the saw back together this afternoon. Passed a pressure / vac test with flying colours but I'll leave the 1184 to set up overnight before running it...

    Huztl Farmertec 372 Build Kit

As a follow up to my cracked case half issue.... I went back and forth emailing Huztl answering their questions, it takes a while as it seems to be one question per email and time difference effectively means you get one email per day. Anyway the end result is Huztl sent me out a replacement...

    Huztl Farmertec 372 Build Kit

Yep it's definitely unusual this is the 4th Huztl kit I've done the others were spot on especially the crankcases. I've not ever come across any other mention of similar before either. The crack extends to the very left edge of the second photo at least and I suspect will go even further if the...

    Huztl Farmertec 372 Build Kit

I put all my cases together with a pulling tool I made a few years ago which works on the exact same principle as in your video but not quite so fancy (more along afleetcommands version). Not that the method of assembly would have made any difference in this case... on careful examination it's...

    Huztl Farmertec 372 Build Kit

I'm sure it could... but no press was involved nor could it explain how the powder coat has penetrated into the crack...

    Huztl Farmertec 372 Build Kit

No not shipping damage simply just a bad casting.. I believe cooling too quick can result in cracks like this. To be fair to Huztl they like me couldn't have known about the crack but how their suppliers didn't notice it and reject it before powder coating is a mystery. I think I may now be...

    Huztl Farmertec 372 Build Kit

Has anyone ever had issues with the case gasket leaking on these kits? used mine last weekend but after a short break it started up and smoked badly... sure enough oil was weeping into the crankcase. I split the cases, couldn't see anything wrong. The mating surfaces looked ok and flat so...

    Husqvarna 61 2 part coil

I came across a few mentions of it usually being the larger module with the two part coils and if I can't track down used parts to check that's was going to be the first piece to replace. Definitely spark compression is 150psi+ and holds pressure and vacuum.

    Husqvarna 61 2 part coil

Thanks for the suggestions. I have looked closely and cleaned up the wiring, grounding points etc but failed to find anything wrong. I also cleaned up the magnets and ends of the iron core but that didn't help much either.

    Husqvarna 61 2 part coil

Anyone out there know of a way to determine which part of a 2 piece ignition coil is faulty without having spare parts to hand? I've been looking at an old Husqvarna 61 with a weak and erratic spark which seems to be just enough to get it to fire but will immediately die. Each half of the...

    Old Oregon bar info

Hadn't noticed until I just checked but yes stamping on the tip does confirm its 3/8. It's the drive link count that's been the bit that concerned me really, it seems it is 77 drive links but all current bars appear to be 76 dl for a 22" bar and cheaper pre made loops more easily available as...

    Old Oregon bar info

Thanks Gregg your right it is .058 the .050 figure above is a typing error made in haste.

    Old Oregon bar info

I had this old Oregon bar thrown in with my 281xp purchase. It should be a decent length for my 372 clone but I'm struggling to figure out from the old code exactly what it is... I'm guessing it's a 22" (77dl) .050 but could do with confirmation or otherwise before sourcing a chain for it...
