    what mill to get?

richness all of the above is true the xtra oil also lowers the availiable octane and also takes away power. these old design engines were made to run 6-7000 rpms or so make sure they don't go over that speed with richness on the main jet. maby less. than 6ooo but no matter how rich it is it...

I have ran xl12 and 1050 size saws for years on this mix with no trouble. they must be ran way rich. The plug will last all year...

electric clutch the clutch takes 3 to 6 amps to work, depending on the brand of clutch so the b@s engine should have a 13 amp alt in the flywheel so you will be fine with it. just remember to keep the belt tight.

    Centrifical clutch vs. electric clutch

clutch the electric clutch is prob the best way to do it you can have the belt tight all the time the problem with one b belt is that you can only get about 12 to 15 hp through it on a steady basis. with 18 hp, it gets hot , then it starts to smell, but you cant tell that it is slipping til...

mill power the 13 hp harbor freight engine for a band mill is ok . for a csm its not. the bus frame is a good idea however, you dont want to run the bus engine just for the mill way to big!

engine size 13 hp aint enough smoke for a 36 inch or larger csm. just remember when you run through a gearbox, you lose some power. my 18 hp twin b&s pulls hard at times you want the largest engine that you can find. also the lightest.for a portiable mill

electric slabber maby three phase but the average gen set motor combo is only going to be 15 amps single phase not big enough to be portable if you are going to be stationary, it should be 3 phase, diesel or some other power for a 6 ft bar! ps. it takes a fair ammt of power for a bar that size...
