    Help This Patio Peach

It appears to be AT THE VERY LEAST - Anoxia, lack of O2 in the root system. At the very most it's a soil-borne pathogen, either phytophthora or pythium. Both of these diseases occur when there is excessive moisture and/or reduced oxygen in the soil. As Jeff stated it also appears that this...

    Arborvitae Problem

    Google Arborvitae Leaf Miner.

    Iron

The iron they produce is the standard liquid chelated. It does work, as I've used it on 20-30 trees. But I have yet to see it last any longer than 1 growing season. I am not familiar w/the RootJet product.

    Bradford Pear Problems

I inject them with oxytetracycline. Works great if only primary infection. Once cankers form, pruning combined w/treatment is only real option.

What is your ideal spray rig for general PHC

We have 9 of those trucks. We build them ourselves. The sprayers come from SDI ( Spraying Devices Inc.) in California. Yes, it is over 7K, closer 8.5. They handle real well. They all have 6.0 or 6.3 turbo diesels. However don't EVER buy a ford w/a 6.0 diesel made by international. They leak...

    Bradford Pear Problems

They have little to no resistance here either. Primary infection this year around here has been off-the-charts.

    oak wilt micro injection??

Any product containing propiconizole CAN be labeled to control Oak Wilt. Whether it does or not is another question. As ATH said macro-infusion is by the far the superior method. Reason being, volume. 3-4 ml of propiconizole micro-injected into even an average Oak will not diffuse at enough A.I...

    Black knot

it's most likely it's the 11-22-22 that is keeping ambient energy levels up and allowing the trees natural defenses to "deal" with the disease. Mycoject is oxytetracycline and it will only control bacterial infections, Black Knot is fungal.

    damaged trees

Call in an expert FIRST to determine what can be saved. Why cut down, start over if you don't have to? I charge $75 an hour, can do a lot of assessing in an hour.

    Monocot only herbicide?

Check the label for Quali-pro Sethoxydim E-pro (or G-pro, can't remember). Its the generic vantage ATH mentioned. Its a good product.

    Arborjet EAB pesticide application

It's actually quicker. I dillute at a 1/2 ml of water per ml of Tree-age. I found it cuts the time by about 25%. I'll admit though that I use a lot more imidicloprid than emamectin benzoate. But my area is past the "wave" of destruction, that most of you guys are now dealing with. I agree with...

    Oak wilt issue

If the tree is not infected I recommend Arbortect 20S. MUCH longer residual than propiconizole. Alamo is highly water soluble, and needs to be done yearly. Arbortect could be done every other year in high pressure areas. Black Oaks have very little innate defense against Oak Wilt, once infected...

    Tree Fertilization

The key to your question is found in 2 words "controlled" and "appropriate". First - Controlled - as in the amount of fertilizer or the amount of encapsulation, i.e. slow release ("controlled") nitrogen? The more nitrogen fixation you "request" of nitrogen fixing bacteria, the more humus (food...

Please help identify what is wrong with my tree

I think it WAS an october glory red maple. It would appear that the tree is SERIOUSLY lacking energy, I don't see CODIT in progress anywhere.

    Think its a gall

It looks like Gouty Oak Gall. made by a cynipid wasp. There has been some attempts to control the larvae using a soil drench imidicloprid in the early spring, personally I rather doubt it has a very high success rate. These galls are all old, meaning the larvae have emerged (you can see the exit...
