    Husky 339xp?

Well my dad's friend said I could keep the little saw if I can use it. I surely can use it. After about 30 minutes the screw backed off again. It is a SHCS . 4mm hex key holding down the red wired ring terminal under the coil. What it looks like to me is that the loosened terminal must be...

    Husky 339xp?

Big turn of events haha. I picked the saw up last night. It looks pretty decent and felt like good compression. I took the recoil off and the screw that holds down a wire terminal for the coil had vibrated very loose. Well i tightened the screw and it runs like a champ. I called dad to find...

    Husky 339xp?

Good morning folks. I have what seems to be a husky 339xp coming my way. Sounds like it was ran lean and probably needs a top end. It's coming from a friend of my dad who is a retired business owner. He does not burn wood but his house is on 10 acres of mostly pine trees. He does a fair...

    New to me MS260

I am very interested to see how this comes out. I have my Dad's MS260 on the bench right now. Great compression, really rips at high rpm but very boggy coming off an idle. He thinks it's 15 years or so old and never had anything done to the carb. New plug, gapped correctly with great spark. I...

Poulan counter vibe 4000 recoil parts?

FIL has a poulan counter vibe 4000. The rope pulley is broke but everything else looks ok. I am having difficulty finding parts. I have looked on Ebay and Amazon and My Husky dealer basically said good luck. I found a Walbro carb kit for it however. The saw is a hoss and i would like to use...

    Poulan Pro 335 carb kit???

Thank you. I just rebuilt the carbs on all 3 of FIL's pp335 saws with that kit. Two of them run great. The other has spark and fuel but won't fire. I will take off the muffler and look for scoring next. Sent from my SM-J327V using Tapatalk

How's your wood pile holding out?

About two years worth in the shed (mixed boxelder, ash and whatever else, OWB likes all of it) and another years worth brought home in logs that need to be cut up. Slowly working on the pile. Hopefully will get back to the woods this weekend.

    insulating OWB lines

My neighbor has 150' run and loses less than 2 degrees with Thermopex. I have a 90' run of Thermopex but haven't checked the loss. I paid $11/ft last fall. Another neighbor has done it the cheap way three times which adds up to way more than doing it right one time. Jeff

    OWB Newbie

My in-laws have the same Heatmor that I have but water to water exchanger and baseboard heat. They hired the hookup in the utility room and it looks really nice but I'm not sure if it flows through the sidearm first or not. Anybody else that has a 14 year old daughter knows how much hot...

    OWB Newbie

The incoming water goes through the sidearm first. My reasoning for that is because my house is small and I had no fears of keeping the house warm. However, with a 14 yeat old daughter, I initially had fears of keeping enough hot water. Just thermosiphon, no pump on the DHW. It's...

    OWB Newbie

update... I've been very happy with the Heatmor. I'm still burning just for the hot water. I really don't like the thought of burning propane so I may continue to burn through the summer but we'll see where it goes. A wheelbarrow load is getting me about 5 days or so right now so its really...
