Don't pick a fight McBob. I think he was taking it easy on the Mac. A "tuned 2100" will dance on a stock Mac. Fred

How do I check to see if the on/off switch works?

Put it to off, hold the plug wire and pull the cord. Put it to on, hold the plug wire and pull the cord. If you get shocked once, it works. Fred

Sorry guys. My lawyer will be out of town. I don't think they'll let me compete without one. The entire thing is precision and safety. It has nothing to do with the saws. Fred

    Why doesn't Stihl

I licked the spoon this mornin' Space, so I'll be your Huckleberry. The reason Dolmar can be competitive with Stihl is because they are small and nimble. They are exploiting their competitive advantage of what I like to term "Ninja." The thing with a "ninja company" is that they can make...

My Ebay 044- got the wrong saw... leaving feedback?

If I was the seller I would absolutely give his a partial refund. How much does it cost to post a single picture on ebay these days? That's what I would give him. Does it smell like sap in here? Fred

    Husqvarna 281XP

If they weigh the same...... Stihl designers should go to ergonomic hell because the 288 feels about the same as a 460 in my hands and it will wail all over a 460 FWIW. Fred

    Husqvarna 281XP

The 288 is one of the easiest big saws to carry for me. It FEELS like it is POUNDS lighter than the 395 or 660. Fred

    Porting Question!

Sounds a little nasty to me. Post some pics. Definately doesn't sound like something I would carry to work with. Fred

It's not Oregon, but I have a buddy that owns a company that does ALOT of government contracts. He has 4 Mityuno (???) workstations. The CNC mills with 5 stations in them. Real production pieces. He could tell us the brass tacks on cost. Fred
