    MS 362 opinions

What bothers me about the new Stihls are (ok I'm a Husky head so take it for what it is) MS200->MS201 The almighty 200 finally got replaced.... with a more plastic saw with inferior build quality imo. that little spring which attaches to the (plastic) handle bar and the saw body can jump away...

Stihl 362 vs. Husqvarna 562XP interested in your thoughts

Interesting to read in the IPL: "AT software : Download from your local support site". So anyone knows if there is a possibility to connect to the saw ;)

Stihl 362 vs. Husqvarna 562XP interested in your thoughts

Another vote for the 365XT. For firewood it is an excellent saw. Based on the 372 it will last you forever with a little less hp. Of course, the 562 is probably a nice upgrade from a 365 but who nows exactly when it will hit the market and you will probably save some nice $ with the 365. The 365...

Stihl MS 261 VS Husqvarna 346 XP VS Dolmar PS 5105

Same weight yes, problem is the 254 has 3,1kW=4,15 hp whereas the 261 has 3,8hp. You tell me how they can have a winner if they have the same weight but have lost 0,3hp to a saw that had start of production in 1993 ;) Good work Stihl in the last 18 years ;)

    Husky 390 or 395?

I would get the 390, no question about it. Much more modern saw than the 660 or 395. It's lighter, has much better air filtration, much better anti vibe and is less thirsty than a 660. The 395 would be too heavy and it has the outboard clutch which I would not prefer on a saw this size. Decision...

    Stihl MS 211 oil leak?

Oh my god. Where is Tommie ? ;)

    ms260 or ms261

They don't have to answer since the 346 is already there and they can still sell it within the emissions regulations;) 0,3kg less weight, same power, superb a/v and air filtration as always on Husky and in a slim package. Personally I think Husky should think more about answering the ms241...

    new 346xp tips over easy

Exactly what a saw should do when limbing, constantly rolling from om side to the other around the log. The 260/261 stands upright on you pick-up but will never be as good performer as the 346 for limbing. It's simply too bulky.

    555/562XP update

I would like to see a 560xp in Sweden. The 562xp has impressive power/weight but a 560 with small mount will take the weight further down to the weight of the 261, but then with 4,7 hp :msp_love::msp_love:

Stihl MS 261 VS Husqvarna 346 XP VS Dolmar PS 5105

Keep us posted how you like the 346 ;) It's truly an awesome chainsaw.

I'm a big fan of the chain brake on Stihl chainsaws.

If you are limbing the way you should do it, standing on the left side of the tree, always letting the saw rest on the trunc, using you legs to get the saw fully horizontal for the limbs pointing upwards etc.. (search for a vid from wlc or something). So not the US version standing on the trunc...

    Stihl 261 or 362?

You can look at the new Husky 60cc around the corner. Power of the 362 at the weight of the 261

New Husqvarna 562XP and 555 Pics

In fact I find the 441 looking good. I prefer it over the 440/460 design.

    Inside the 372XP X-TORQ

372XT looks promising then. Weight of a regular 372, also easy to work on, better fuel economy and powerwise comparable to 372 and 441. Of course it will pull some sales away from the 576. Seems impossible for Husky to discontinue the 372 because of it's reputation ;)

    MS 290 FarmBoss

Well if you get a MS290 over a 365, 346XP, 576Xp or 372XPW, then you have definately made a very bad choice ;) These saws are not comparable at all. (also not in price).

    Inside the 372XP X-TORQ

Haha, I can understand you. Edisto will chime in ;) The 372 should win the weight round. What is your subjective feeling about 2 and 3 ?

what is the best built saw?

The air filter cover is a weak spot on the 026. The space between the top cover and the air filter cover makes it easy for something to get in and the attachment (plastic twist knob) of the filter cover is too weak imo. Otherwise it is very robust I agree.

    Inside the 372XP X-TORQ

It would be interesting to see: 1. Weight 2. Power stock 3. Power modded 372XT vs 441.

    MS 290 FarmBoss

Most hated saw on earth among saw freaks. Most loved saw on earth among Stihl dealers. Have you tried the search function .. ?

    Inside the 372XP X-TORQ

So the weight of the 372XT is still unknown ? I can only find the IPL and noone has put it on a scale ? Would be interesting to see if it is close to the regular 372 in weight.
