    Homelite chainsaws

That 450 can be a very strong runner when healthy. Check that the intake boot hasn't turned to goo and be sure that the divider between the fuel mix and bar oil tanks is intact. After that it's just spark, comp, carb, seals. Motor parts are not too hard to get but it took me a while to find a...

I have one early flat front 5200.

    Big mean green 5200

Yup. I know early 5200s had flat tank fronts and later ones had a built up flange in front where the case halves joined.

Did the 8500 have a two piece top cover? Seems like I read that somewhere. I only have the 5400 and 5200 and a craftsman colored 5200, never had the 8500.

    The "unofficial" 6 cube sticky

Sweeeet! I have always liked the way this family of big saws cut.

    What's the best chainsaw.

Any brand or brands that have the "Homelite 750" prefix. No bias here, just fair and balanced. ;)

    Yardsale goodies!

+1 on the points. That and prolly an RK88HL Tillotson carb kit usually do the trick on these as long as the top end isn't fried.

Want to Buy Mac 125 Oil Tank

You are right as far as being able to bolt right up to the crankcase, but the problem is that the 790/795/797 saws are all solid handle mount where the handlebar bolts directly to the underside of the tank and the 105/125 saws are anti vibe saws where the only mount under the tank is for the...

Want to Buy Mac 125 Oil Tank

C'Mon guys. I've seen 4-5 mac parts lots on the bay. A couple had 125 parts too, just went too high when I only need a tank. Somebody's got to have a 125 with a bad motor that can be parted out.

    Want to Trade Skil 1690

Almost forgot. Before I sign off for tonight, I have managed to work out a trade with a member here, so the saw is out of play now unless the new owner wants to do something other than keep it. Thanks to anyone who checked it out.
