Sold Jonsered 2065 (Red Husqvarna 365)

yes, just unscrew the inboard screw and remove the bar pin. 2165 2163 2171 or 365sp/372 covers fit right on. Ive had 5 2065's over the years and they have all been closed port 365specials. the only open port I've seen was on a 2071 surprisingly

    Fiskars X27 vs Husqvarna S2800

it was a short video, didn't really intend to make it or i would have done it different or had some other wood setup. i've been a fiskars nut swinger since day one, but I really like the husky S2800. I wanted to not like it because it was short, but I like it a lot, and the more I use it, the...

    Fiskars X27 vs Husqvarna S2800

its 2-3" shorter than the x25. I love the x27... I really like the S2800 just wish the handle was 32-36" long. it is more effective than the X27 imo.

If I were to buy a new Husky saw this weekend. What model should I look for? 60-70cc range

I've been a long time fan of the old skool 365/372's... my first pair of pro saws were a pair of 365's from the tree company I worked for. 18" bar.. love them. eventually made the one into a 372. then ported it. it has been my go to saw for years.. 20" bar, then 24".. I love that saw...

Is Stihl 361 or Dolmar 7310 better for firewood?

out of the box the 361 sucks. the 7310 is a good running saw but not worth the weight when you could have a 7910... I'd get a 562xp and have a lightweight powerful saw that would do 90% of your cutting....

70cc or 90cc for Occaisional for Alaskan Style Mill

galvanized thin steel. the power head mount is the only thick part. it is fairly smooth for what it is. depends a lot on your chain...that is a 36" bar, but you only get about 32"-33" max width. The bar nuts are around 1" thick to space the mount just far enough way from the clutch cover.

70cc or 90cc for Occaisional for Alaskan Style Mill

its an older granberg mk3. I guess they don't make them like this anymore? I've had it for about 8-10 years. It works pretty good. no real complaints It mounts to the powerhead with its own bar nuts (replace saw bar nuts with these, then there is an allen bolt that goes through the triangle...

How long before wood is seasons?

Maybe my post count isn't up because I'm not posting worthless information every time someone asks. Maybe you hate your newer EPA stove because you don't know how to burn with it, and aren't burning dry enough wood..... because they don't like 20% and above MC, how ever you decide to measure...

How long before wood is seasons?

Do you own a newer EPA stove? as in the last 15-20 years? Because if you did, you wouldn't believe the gibberish coming out of your keyboard. sure, anything will burn, but the newer epa stoves (both secondary burn and catalytic) burn much better with 15-18% than the old mentality of eons and...

70cc or 90cc for Occaisional for Alaskan Style Mill

I'd get the biggest saw you can afford.. Milling this oak with my ported 660 wasn't fun or easy, 75% of the boards were 24" or smaller, the center sections were 28-29". It took two tanks per cut and wished I'd had a larger saw

    Splitting/Chopping Tool Review Thread

Everything larger than 12" in diameter stays on the ground. The smaller stuff I will pick up. I'm very good and not putting the edge into the ground. It's taken years to figure it out how to be effective swinging an axe without destroying the edge putting it in the ground. Yesterday I worked...

    "2015 You Suck Thread"-Pictures required

This was my deal of the year. i was in boston working some snow storm emergency job for a couple weeks and scored this 562xp off of craigslist for 350 bucks. looked like it had very few tanks through it and still had most of the paint on the oregon/husky bar (you could still make out the...

    Splitting/Chopping Tool Review Thread

most people say you should split on a block. I know a good tool should not hit the dirt and a splitting block prevents than 99% of the time. For me, it is about speed. My time is limited and valuable. I don't have the time, or brute strength to pick up 2-400lb wet oak rounds to get them on...

Post pictures of your woodpile/splitting area

Black oaks, Red oak, Pin oak, scarlet oak and a few others are in the red oak family. the bark on red oak is smoother than black oak. the leaves on the red an black oak both have pointers or bristles on the end. the red oaks will have more uniform and deeper lobes on the leaves. The acorns...
