    Fixing An Exhaust Leak

Not a chainsaw, but I have a 2 cyl. Vanguard engine that has exhaust leaks, the muffler flanges aren't flat. I'm going to flatten them the best that I can, but does someone know of some "goop" of some kind, that I can use along with new gaskets, to seal this thing up?? SR

Where Is The Serial Number On My 562xp?

I was ripping a 20" piece of big oak firewood, and when I let off the throttle it would not idle, it just quit. I restarted it several times and it ran at a faster RPM, but it refused to idle. SO, it's only on it's second or third tank of fuel, so I dropped it off at a Husky dealer to have...

I Could NOT Resist The Price!

Of this NEW 562xp with bar and chain, $545.00 plus you get $50.00 cash back from Husky, and that means a total price of $495.00 out the door! Where did I get it? This vendor there, had a stack of them, all new models NOT some old stock... SR

I Know Almost NOTHING About Light Weight Bars

I'm thinking about buying a light weight bar... I know nothing about the different brands... I want a 20" small bar mount for Husky... MAYBE if available, a 16" too? How much lighter will it be over steel? And will it last as long as a steel bar?? Thanks in advance for any info you...

    Husky 55 oiler

I bought my Husky 55 used and I've always felt it didn't put enough oil to the bar, it doesn't use a tank of oil to a tank of gas. The bar's wear out faster on that saw too. I've run it with a 3/8's, 20" bar and when it wore out, I bought a 3/8's, 16" bar for it. The 16" did seem to last...

    Super Split vs Timberwolf TW5

Anyone watch them "side by side" at the "Firewood Shootout" this weekend? They both had the same amount of wood of about the same type and size......staged right by the splitters, and both had two guys running them... As I've been saying for a long time, put a table grate and 4 or 6 way...

    Today Was White Oak Monday!

I needed a few white oak "saw logs", and a friend had some on his property. He owed me some saw logs to pay me back for a project I did for him, so he told me to have at his white oak tree's. I would have liked them to be bigger, but beggars can't be choosers!! lol So, today was "White Oak...

I Want To Thank chipper 1,

For stopping over yesterday! He came by with some logs on his trailer and added to my firewood stash, by giving me this red oak, That was very kind of him! He also had another really nice straight 8' red oak, that I didn't measure, but it must have been close to 30". I picked that one...

My "Mucho Grande" Load Of Firewood!

Saturday, my helper came over to help me cut a load of firewood, so we loaded up the gear and headed to my woods... We cut most of the load with a Husky 55, but when we got to the "Big Boys", I cranked up the Jonsered 2260, We were blocking up, "mostly" maple, and the 2260 powered right...

I'm Still Lovin My Jonsered 2260

I've got enough fuel through it now to see it's going to be one he!! of a saw. AND unlike the 268xp it replaced, me and my bad back can get the 2260 started!! lol Anyway, for those of you that missed it on the firewood forum, here's some action shots of the 2260 in action...

Cut Another Load Of Wood Today

And most of it was hard maple. I raised the firewood logs over my wagon with the tractor and my helper cut them into firewood lengths. We started out sawing with my 3/8 chain/16" bar Husky 55, but when we got to the BIG logs, we switched to my 20" bar Jonsered 2260. When my helper was into...

    Husqvarna 350 Lost Spark

My 350 probably has 5 tanks of gas through it from new and has no spark! Bummer, I like the saw, so I took the recoil starter off and gave everything a good cleaning. I also set the gap with a business card and tried a new plug, it's a no-go... Is this common with these?? I'm trying to...

    About My New Jonsered,

I'm confused! I read that the 2260 has a different "bar mount" than the Husky 562. Well, I have a NEW Oregon Pro-Lite bar that will fit my 550xp/268xp ect.. I just figured I'd put it on the JRed 2260 when it get's here, but it's not suppose to fit the 2260! SO, I go to a JRed dealer and...

    I'm Still Cutting/Skidding Firewood Logs

As it's been a WARM winter so far, (today was in the 60's!) we are cutting firewood for next winter... Two weeks ago, we cut a load of firewood and managed to get it all split, SO, yesterday we were back at it... Anyway, I skid as much of my firewood tree's out whole, as I can...
