The Husqvarna c/r valve closes with less psi than the STIHL

I have 200psi compression in this saw and I need the c/r valve when it's been sitting a long time. Problem is the valve closes as soon as I pull the starter. I need a valve that will stay open. The c/r valve is new. Is there a fix?

The 044 and MS440 have the same kick back problem. If the key is good, set the flywheel as far retard as it will go which is probably only 2 degrees. Now it will crank over with NO kick back. I have had this problem with these saws time after time. This fix works every time.

My first MS440 was an absolute bear about kicking back. Then I discovered that by setting the flywheel as far retarded as possible there was NO MORE kicking! It's only a couple of degrees but it makes all the difference.

OEM is the ONLY way The after market p/c things are a joke. You don't need 357 intake parts unless you have a high quality porting job

Well, my ms461 project is now complete. I got a p/c from my STIHL dealer but now I have two extra pistons. One new, one used. $55 for the new OEM piston including wrist pin bearing along with STIHL rings and clips. $40 for the used OEM piston

Contrary to certain propaganda, these saws do not have stratocharge. Every time a two cycle exhaust port gets raised the compression goes lower. I raised the transfer port openings. That's all the hogging out they got.
