My Disston DO-100. The biggest challenge was getting the components in the fuel metering unit to function properly. It works similar to mechanical fuel injection as it controls the amount of fuel returned to the tank to operate the saw. The extra push that I give on the back of the handle before...

Yes, Ron it is a little bit of a challenge to haul. The generator weighs 125 lb and the saw weighs 35. I made a couple of cuts with it yesterday. Sent from my LE2117 using Tapatalk

I had a friend send me a marketplace listing for this ECS. I have been looking for one for quite some time as I've got the generator that powers it. 230 volt 3 phase 180 cycle. It's the first chainsaw model that Homelite manufactured. Sent from my LE2117 using Tapatalk

I've used both 50/50 apple cider vinegar and water and electrolytic derusting. Some paints are not affected much by the vinegar and water bath. You would have to do a spot test to see how it would affect your bar logo paint. The pic is vinegar and water bath. Sent from my LE2117 using Tapatalk

Yes. Some also have a very fine screen that uses the surface tension of the fuel on it to act like check valve. Sent from my SM-A716U using Tapatalk

It uses a pump element (the black rubber piece inserted into the carburetor flange). When they have a pump element, they usually have a check valve in the fuel inlet elbow. Don't use high air pressure on the elbow as it can damage the check valve. Use a 7/16" wrench to break loose the elbow then...

    Homelite Chainsaws

This 2000E was part of a large group purchase of saws and parts that I bought several years ago. It was a pile of parts on a workbench that I scraped into a box and put up in my mezzanine storage and let sit for four years. The previous owner had taken it apart to clean and paint it. I decided...

    Homelite Chainsaws

My flywheel was tighter than any that I had delt with. I made up some reinforced puller bolts screwed into and tightened at full depth into the flywheel pawl pivot bolt holes. I put as much tension on it that I dared with my puller and used a high temperature hot air gun to heat the flywheel...

I think I've got a NOS in the package. I would have to check to make sure that age hasn't affected it. Sent from my SM-A716U using Tapatalk
