    I did the barrel stove thing for two seasons. It was good for one thing....disposing wood quickly. I picked a used forced air furnace style...hotblast I think it is. The guy had it in his house and upgraded. After a few years on it I certainly can see why. The stove I bought today the people...

    After heating my shop with wood for the last 4-5 years Im going to put one in the house. So I started browsing all the garbage on craigslist. Found a Us Stove Magnolia about a year old for 500.00, hope I don't regret it.

    I drive past a 3' dia red oak that was dropped like 7 years ago....its still just laying there. The worst thing is that its probably 24' long and is perfectly strait ....stupid And yes I asked for it after a few years.

    First fire!

    Will be burning wood in the house for this year vs. just the pole barn the last 5 years. Got to get a stove and get it installed this week! Now I need double the wood!

    help choosing a Splitting Maul

    I use a 6.6lb maul and a wedge. Never found anything that the monster maul would split that the 6 pounder couldnt. My monster maul keeps my garage door from swinging in the wind thats about it.

    Ive been using the search all day. Is getting it ported the answer? I also looked at tons of clips on you tube and it seemed the the ported 361's out performed the muffler modded saws. I know that theres alot of variables in the making of these vids. so what all is involved in porting a saw...

    Ours has a 12" bar on it and im pretty sure it has the picco chain on it from the dealer.
