    buddy started burning wood this year..... I didn't think nothing of it til he called one night and asked what was wrong with his stove... I asked why and he said well it is roaring and there is a lot of thick smoke coming from outside.... do I have a chimney fire? Yep...... get the wheel barrel...

    mine starts pretty easy. swisher with b&s engine...... always starts on the fifth pull, when first starting, no matter the temp outside.

    Tree length - 4' logs - or rounds in the woods?

    Depends on the size of the logs. I find I can get more wood outta the woods leaving it long and cutting to stove length at home. I let it hang of the front and back of the trailer more... thus getting more wood....... if the logs are to big to load long I will cut it up on the spot........

    ASH CLEAN OUT ON OWB

    I have a heatmor and ash cleanout is simple. it uses an auger you stick in the back of the stove and simply crank til all the ash is out.... and the ash comes out as powder all fuel burnt

    oak all they way...... Seems to last longer and burn better than anything. But as time passes I realize I do like to burn pine on the shoulder a lot. mix it 3 to 1 ..... 3 pine, 1 oak....... works great on days I am home and shoulder times

    Firewood, snow and vinyl siding... lessons learned

    I use vinyl the same way.... that is until I found the post with the cinder blocks and boards to use as a wood rack. I still have vinyl down by the wood line I stack wood to dry on..... but the cinder block idea replaced the burn wood area real quick

    Hold on Hold on. pics will be coming lol. I went out today to chop a little road out to the new tops. when I was out there I realized...... forgot the dang camera.!!!! When I go to cutting again I will remember it for the proof lol. While I was out there I found a lot more trees down the logger...

    Yeah can drive right to it with the 4 wheeler and trailer. have to cut little stuff out of the way to make a new road where to skidder had been. and pics will b coming
