    2077 oil problem

Your clutch is threaded on with a left hand thread. backwards to a normal thead. I sold my saw a year ago and I don't remember how it removed. some are made to take a socket and some take a special clutch tool. Remove the eclip and clutch drum and you should be able to tell if a socket will...

    Let's talk about a 288

The 288 saw is close to a 066 in power. You need to find the air leak and fix the saw. It may be your new primary saw if you use the 460 all the time. Rick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Stihl 056 bosch ignition

If this fix works well this should be made into a sticky. The 056 stihls down fall is the ignition. Being able to get them up and running again is priceless. Rick!

Husqvarna 445 vs Poulan 4620 both remanufactured on EBAY cheap

I got a poulan 295 in a package deal. I had replaced the flywheel on it before I ended up with it. It also had a sheared key. I felt it had way to much bar for its size and installed a new ajustable chainbrake cover and installed a 13in. bar. after a muffler mod it made a good little trim saw.

    066 flat top

Ive got a Stihl 066 flat top with a compression release. It has the see thru gas tank and an aluminum flywheel. I bought this saw at a auction a while back. It appears To have been hit by a tree or something in that order. The wrap handle was bent and the top cover cracked. When the handle bent...

    272 XP question

272xp The 272 is a great saw, easy to work on, easy to find parts for. Makes 5.2hp in stock form and will pull a 32in bar in soft wood. You wont find a better firewood saw for the money. The 625,630,and 670 jonsered saws share some parts with the husky saws to. Buy it you wont be sorry!!! Rick.

is there a good aftermarket crank for a husky 3120?

I think milling with a saw is what is hard on cranks. I would keep my eye out for a good used one myself and from the looks of the previous posts I dont think you have to look to far to find one. good luck getting the big ol gal going again. Rick!

What should you look for when buying a second hand saw

No, I do not think any thing you do when buying a used saw is over the top. I look for bargins then ask to hear them run. If it starts easy runs well and the price is right I take the plunge. If it were a lot of money being thrown down Im sure I would be more picky. Rick!

    056 MAGNUM II ignition coil

Ive got a 056 magll and had to replace the ignition (sems) at a price of 110.00 plus shipping back in the spring. found it on fleebay. When youve got an old saw that you value they just have to sit on the shelf a little longer till you can find the parts to fix them. Ive got a bunch of older...

    Jonsered 630

The 630's have the same bore as a husky 61 (48mm) and they do interchange. Same basic crankcase with minor differences depending on the year they were made. The 630's are closed port cylinders while 90% of the 61's are open ports. 630's are a major plus for making more power 4.3 hp stock...

    Stihl ms170 questions.

Ive never used one myself but my dad bought one new. He is not at all impressed with it. But what can you expect from a saw that he bought new for less than 200.00 on sale. I hear the 180 is only 20.00 or so more and packs 20% more power over the 170. If I were going to buy one I would most...

hotrod chain saw build / buy

All I'm saying is if the cost of a bigger pump is out of his price range, he cant afford to buy a cahon built 250 hotsaw that would be fried in 10 min after firing it up.
