Dolmar Geek needed to answer question on model numbers

It comes from the Oregon cagtalogue. Chain id part its the 2009/2010 edition. Many models appear twice some with a dash and some without. The must be a reason why Oregon did this. It happens time and again with different models.

Dolmar Geek needed to answer question on model numbers

Hi odd question but I really need to know why Dolmar use the - in between some models for example PS-34 and you also find PS34. Does this denote a newer model??? Any reply would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Sprocket information required

Ok now starting to understand like gears on a car. Lower the gear more torque. So It prob depends on what you cutting or how thick your cutting. For example I suppose 6" dia firewood would be suited to a higher speed?

Can anyone explain why on a Stihl Picco chain there are different sprockets to choose from for the same pitch chain. example 6 tooth and 7 tooth. Does this make the chain run faster? Thanks

Dust free teeth sharpener, dust collection etc..

I too run a green wheel and diamond for sharpening tungsten chains. Just use a normal industrial vac and it works fine. Very little dust on surfaces after a few hours of use.
