046 never came with a aluminum flywheel. 046 has always had a poly flywheel. Fun fact, 046, 460, 461 all use the same flywheel, part # 1128 400 1211

Consider it a blessing you did not end up with the saw. You're having issues with him and you didn't even buy the saw. Imagine the headache you would have if you bought the saw and found things wrong with it once you received it. There's plenty of other 2100's out there.
