    Electrolyte replenishment

Water, G2, and Electrolyte. Sometimes my legs will start cramping at the end of the day. A magnesium oxide caplet takes care of that..

What's the lowest Price you paid for Titanium GB Bars?

How about a bar with several chains?? Just a thought.

    24" Bar on Husqvarna 357xp?

Usually run a 24 on both a 440 and a 359, full comp chain. Not a problem in softwoods. Generally stay under 24" on the 440 and under 20" on the 359. If you don't have to carry the saw all day, better to go with a larger saw.

046 Dual Port on an 044

Get the dual port cover. Andy posted the part number a while back. I ordered one and the 440 runs noticeably better. A plus is the screen for cutting on restricted lands.

If Dolmar is so good, then why so few dealers?

A quiet afternoon. I read through the this thread and it still sounds as if Dolmar has changed little from a year or so ago when I was looking at them. I went with a 346xp. For under 5 inches, it works fine. Just curious if Husky noticed the 5100 also and upped their 346 a little. If so, it...

    Lesson learned without injury.

Lucky.. It happens. Lack of attention. I once put a saw back together, finger tightened the nuts and I thought I tightened them. I guess I only tightened one. After testing the saw, there was one nut missing. Fortunately it wasn't mine. Now I try and remember to check the nuts frequently.

    New chainsaw storage area

It would be nice to get one of those. Looks good. With those high winds, hope you use a lot of diagonal bracing. jaxx

    What's wrong with this picture...

Great post -- informative. Thanks Lake. Rah's posts were distracting.... If you know what I mean.

    Throwing chains

Just wondering, how do you keep your saw so clean? You have probably already checked the alignment of your sprocket and the rails. Also, on one bar I have, one of the sprockets appears to be off, at one position, the chain is snug, at another position (moving the chain), the chain is not...

    TIME for a new saw? 357xp V 346xp

346 or 357?? Get both. They will both pay for themselves in no time if your selling what you cut. Everyone likes the 361 too, but I wonder about the vibration between the 361 and the 357. Is there any difference? Watch out for the CAT muffler. Picked up a new 346, it had no CAT muffler...

    No more internet sales!

No more internet sales?? I took the bait and the result was waiting for me this evening. (My first attempt at posting pics.)

    Dolmar 7900 complaints.

    Turner, vibrating bulldogs, I think.

Do you leave that cut tree standing?

Yup, avoid cutting trees on windy days. They do rebound, bind your blade, etc. Also old hung up branches tend to fall. During windy season I cut them down early before the winds pick up. Then there is fire danger sometimes.

    Bailey's 2007 = DOLMAR!!!!

Perhaps outside of this site, the Dolmar name is not that well recognized yet. You Dealers that sell more than one line, how many Dolmars's do you sell for every one Husky or Sthil sold? Is Dolmar on GSA Contract?

    Bailey's 2007 = DOLMAR!!!!

KD460 I hear you. I also tried to get a Dolmar recently (2 mos ago). Ran into the same problem you did and decided to go with a different saw for now. Good Luck. Jaxx

    Please Boycott Dolmar OPE

Hi wood_newbie, thanks for the heads-up. Ralph, points taken. The direction I was attempting to go was if/when a saw goes down, you want it back up quickly. I am reasonably sure that if I need Husky or Stihl parts next year I will be able to get them without getting dinged to badly by...

    Please Boycott Dolmar OPE

Never knew this thread was here. Read what was 11 pages and went to check the date. It was old, but it pointed out a problem with Dolmar. Other threads on this site have also pointed out possible quality control problems Dolmar may have. I considered the 5100's for work. Then I visited a...

    357XP or MS 361

Hi. I also run the 359 and 440. The 372 from Bailey's seems like a very good choice for the $$. No problems with the 359 after I swapped mufflers. Runs kind of slow in aged dry oak tho. Also consider that there have been some posts here on the 361 oiler. I don't think the Husky will have a...
