I have now got bored with just fixing, selling, base gasket deleting and muffler modding saws and I have the following to tinker with....
An 038 mag that is now a semi redundant saw for me as I have a 362xp w/ 372xp top end, so i thought what better use this 038 than to port it..
I have numerous 52mm cylinders for it to play with and wanted to know where to start with the porting of it.
I am happy with and have opened out diameter wise the intake and exhaust some what.. I haven't looked at the transfers, I do not know where to start, whether to just remove casting material from the inside of the ports or whether to also modify the port openings..
I do not feel like changing the timing so is it possible to do any mods by increasing width rather than depth. Or can I subtly change the depth of these ports (intake/exhaust/transfers) without adjusting the timing?
