Finished up the last piece of my big ash log today. Almost 6' long, 27" at its widest point. I planned to take a 4" slab out of the center for some 4x4 stock, but I changed my mind after the first cut and made it all into 2" slabs. @redbull660 's old saw is a blast to run.

My girlfriend got a video of me making one of them. Its in 2 parts because of the limit on her phone I guess.

great video
where is the chain set angle raker and top plate
how old was it, the whole log since last sharpen?
comparing to mine the bressure could have held in peak rev more evenly . I HAVE SEEN that make a difference to the surface on my logs

I file my chains to 10 across, 5 up. I had only made 1 other cut prior to the video. I don't remember where I had the rakers but they were a little aggressive for that job and a full comp chain. I haven't used the 880 much yet so I'm still experimenting with where I want them.
