Doing research in between watching the Cardinals spank the Bears. Anyhow, somehow I remember reading about a 343 cubic engine Ford put in their trucks briefly around 1962 - 1964. The only way I found out it existed was checking on the history of the venerated I - 6 300 (1964 - 1996 RIP, boy are corporations stupid).

My trivia question is, has anyone heard of the 343 V8? It couldn't have been much, only found 2 - 3 model years that used it.

This, after digging on the 'net and finding everything but.

    thanks

Are you positive that was not the 343 V6? GM and Ford had wars back about that time over who could build the largetst V6. I remeber the 342 V8, the 352 V8, but the 343 eludes me?
