039? - where is the closest dumpster........#### :greenchainsaw:

That's called compression brother Troll. And that's what happens when you start a saw all the time that actually has good compression... hehehehehehehe

 eh?

I had to poke some fun at you bro... :jester:

Congratulations Chuffy, sounds like you got the advise you needed to get your saw repaired.....and WITHOUT a single reply that said:

"Buy a new (x)" Where the value of "x" is another make of chainsaw or a different Stihl model.

Welcome to the party!

Never ceases to amaze me how sensitive Stihl guys are. You'd think troll had spat on his mother's grave or something. :crazy1:

Nothing of the sort. Troll may say and do as he wishes. I just think when newer members that may not be wise to the ways of the Troll come on to ask serious questions about getting their saws in order we all should use a little discretion. Regardless if his problem is with a Husky, Stihl, Jred or whatever. Once we all know who we're dealin' with I guess all bets are off. He may know that was all a joke, maybe not, he sure does now.........

BTW, you or anyone can say whatever you want about every saw in my arsenal I could give a crap. I know what I've got and what they'll do. Plus just to prove I don't have pony in this race...........I do not and have never owned anything in the 029/290-039/390 family. Some try to contribute constructive advise and council, some contribute :jester: but most a little bit of both. We all should try to consider the poster and their dilema first unless the thread is a complete sham.

Out.

Defensive too.

Actually, if I'm being labeled a Stihlhead than I'd have a decided lack of sensitivity due to the inferior AVs right?

Besides, we all know what you contribute...................................

I agree I would be dissapointed if Troll didn't stick to his guns. Everyone has their least favorite saws and those models are ok and are good value for the average joe but not a saw that would be my first choice to buy either. We talk about all the high performance models because we love them but we also love all the saws we own or owned and people take things personal.

I don't know if you're a stihlhead or not. I don't keep up. :food:

Actually I'm an Equal Oppertunity Procurement specialist.................

................six brands in five different colors schemes.

i use a saw for household firewood which i get free from work (i work for the local authority and our tree guys dump any downed trees whether wind or rot in our yard )l

Better get that saw fixed fast if the weather in Bristol is anything like it is here (winds gusting 80mph). I think you might be about to get very busy

well with the little smiley faces there i kinda took it as a joke . h

No, it was not a joke. It's common knowledge that Troll despises this series of Stihl saws. If you don't believe me ask him about your 310. He will be quick to tell you, if it ain't a 361 you might as well be using an axe.

Sure it was a joke, but with a small core of something else mixed in......:)

Yes, real easy to tease, some of those Stihlheads.......:jawdrop: :jawdrop:
Troll, may your beloved 361 score a piston today:jawdrop: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: Hell Troll I own a 310, and no it's not my favorite, but it will get the job done if I want it to. I'm BSing you on your piston score. I hope it last you a lifetime.

Dear Mr. Spacemule

As an inspiring young lawyer,if and when you pass the bar, I have an interesting case you may want to represent me in.
You see I purchased a Stihl MS390 chainsaw. I do cut a few logs to sell, but I mostly just cut a firewood to heat my home with. When I purchased this saw I was down on my luck so instead of buying a 361 and having to fork out all the extra cash I bought the heavy under powered 390. My Stihl dealer said it would be a good firewood saw. Come to find out, it's a heavy, under powered turd fit for a dumpster. With your knowledge of the laws we have and with Sawtroll as an expert witness, do I have a case against Stihl?? If so I think 10- 361's and throw in a couple of the new 441's ( I know Troll thinks they a heavy turds also, but I want a couple) and maybe a new 660 should make my compensation complete. I do worry about Stihl calling in a couple Stihlheads, one from Virginia that goes by Thall and one that goes by Lakeside53 that lives up in Gods country as their expert witnesses, but I think you and Troll can persuade a jury to see it my way. Let me know if I have a chance:chainsawguy: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: Thanks for you time . Blackioak
PS, If we win maybe the three of us can go to Germany and Spit on Mr. Stihls grave!!!!
PS-PS,Please, don't tell Troll about the 441's I am requesting , or he won't show up to help my cause!!!. Tell him I am requesting Stihl to go out a buy me a couple of Dolmar 5100's instead.
