Carby Gasket

Hi all,is there meant to be a gasket between the carby and intake boot on 064/066?Or does the boot and metal rings do the sealing?Am only asking because I noticed it in my 064 w/shop manual while checking on something else.I don't believe I have a gasket on my 066.

The next gasket between the boot/ring and the carb on a Stihl saw I find will be the first.

I believe some IPL's/manuals make it look there is one but it is actually meant to go between the carb and filter mounting plate.

No gasket between the carb and the rubber boot/manifold, there is a metal ring inside the boot to prevent the rubber from deforming when the carb is tightened to it. Make sure it is there and all weill seal up properly.

Thanks all.I think my 064 manual was showing a gasket if a plate was fitted.
