I was in buying chain oil at my local dealer and he has this bar & chain oil from Oregon that you dilute with water?? The claim is that its stickier and goes 5 times as far as normal oil. I was wondering if anyone had used it? and if so does it live up to the claims or should it be kept well away from? Cheers!

Arborol. Must be new to the market as I have not seen or heard of it. You also need to add antifreeze (non-toxic) to the mix. Sounds like the stuff they use in industrial grinding/cutting machine applications. Might work great. Give it a go and report back.

Old engine oil. Strain it through coffee filter(used so you know it works).... ;)

I've been using water based coolants for mag drills for years. Never had an issue with one bit of corrosion.

what is the price point? Considering what we pay for a gallon of bar oil this could be less expensive.
