cracked cover

    hey all I dropped a tree on my saw and I got a new top cover but can I fix the old one it cracked right through one of the screws the hold the handle on the right side the saw is a 056 magII

    Duct tape, as usual - but it fits Jonsereds silver-tops better than anything else.......:)

    ha ha ha I was just wondering if I could weld it or something then redrill and tap the screw hole

    you can get it welded... but duct tape is cheaper and you will look hard as nails with a taped chainsaw. :chainsaw:

    Degrease the crack, epoxy in the crack, and after its set, a timesert insert for the thread. Good as new..

    Don't use duct tape on parts that support the saw handle..

    Duct tape comes in different colors now.......

    (haven't seen orange though)

    They got Orange and Camouflage and a bunch of other colors. Why waste your friggin time with all that work. You could be patched up and back running in about 1 min or so. An when it goes bad, you just wrap a little more on. I got it all over me clothes and it hold the saw chips out of my pants like a champ dude. Link below man... :cheers:
