CS-8000 Help Please, Won't Accelerate

pain in the ass.

I got the parts today and installed everything, same issue. I cranked the H and L screws and got it to idle for few seconds and when I hit the throttle it still died. Carb settings at L-1 1/4, H-1 it won't idle for more than 2 seconds. I think my next step may be to find someone who knows what they're doing to fix it for me before I go trying to re-build the carb or putting a new carb. For all I know I may just not be tuning it right. Doesn't make any sense to me that it is doing the same thing now as it did when the fuel line wasn't even attached??

If the carb on your 8000 is the HDA-153, then the 1 turn settings arent right. HDA-153 runs 2+3/8 on the L side and 3+3/8 on the H. See pages 8 and 9 of the attached PDF.

No luck. The right carb settings gets it to idle but it dies instantly when you hit the throttle
