so this tree might be coming down next spring. gives me the fall-winter to plan it.
going to need the hydro service line disconnected from house and the the ones over the drive are gonna have to be worked around. but bwyond that should be an interesting one to put on the ground.

I would give the utility companies a call to pull those service drops down when you are ready. It should be a free service, at least it is in Georgia. Better safe than sorry when it comes to power.

Ya I had already f I figured on calling NS power to unhook them, it's not free but that's OK I don't like getting zapped so they can do that part lol.

As for what's wrong with it, it's in the way the house is being bulldozed next year and modular home is being put up I have to put a road pretty much right where it is for the delivery truck to get in proper.

That's a pretty lousy location, isn't it? You might really be best advised to pay an arborist to deal with it, what with the two sets of power lines and all. It might also be best to remove it during the winter when the leaves are off and the sap is down; it will weigh less and be less risky all around.

I guess we are spoiled here in NE Tennessee, as the power company will drop for free any tree that if cut could pose a danger to any of their facilities. Though I am fairly competent with a saw and I enjoy falling trees, I call them at least once a year - usually several times a year.
