Well, seen a chipper for sale, no price, no phone, left a note and got a call a few hours later. Thew a price of $450 out. So I run back after work and check it out. Has a 20 Hp Honda, had to jump start the battery, but popped off and sounded good. He eased it up to full throttle and put a 2" diameter chunk of wood and it ate it with no problem. He said it did blow a fuse every once in a while and not sure why. But, for $450, I said screw it. I have a fenceline to clear. Will take 3 1/2" I think, but probably won't put that big thru.

Picked up a Husky 55 saw with 20" bar and chain for $100. Thought not bad, ran good. Pretty clean. He was small time tree trimmer and was moving to Florida in September. Checked out a TimberKing 1220 sawmill with a 15 hp Kohler, wants $6500 but in really nice shape. Few other saws, old John Deere CS71 wants a couple hundred bucks for. I passed. LOTS of stuff/junk. May run back....

Update: downloaded manual for the Honda, I guess it needs a 25 amp fuse vs the 15 amp that he said....starts like a champ and is a LOT scary when it is up to full throttle. It will eat some twigs......I am happy, for a $8500 machine....it work well.

The Husky runs great, needs a chain, but cut some ash....

I always thought it would be handy to have a chipper like that around here. If you don't get them piles of brush cleaned up in time, it makes for a real mess down the road. Looks like it might do the job for you. Nice find..

Looks like a great deal on that chipper. I keep thinking I could use one, but all I find are multi hundred dollar garden chippers, or multi thousand dollar broke down commercial.

Heh, I got a machine shed it will sit in....feel free to come and use it. It probably won't get ton of hours but, I think I can make money back when I am done with it.

The Husky 55 runs strong too.

I sure would like to find a deal like that on a chipper. You can almost spend that on the stupid little homeowner things that won't chip a darn thing.

I was lookin at an older DR brand, for about same price. Pretty sure this will hold up and last a lot longer. This was a Rent-all unit at one time. At least parts are readily available yet. I will have to cut stuff smaller, the hang up is when there is a Y and it won't feed it thru. Not a big deal. Will get use to what it will eat. I now know what the term, throw and duck, means....
