A couple of pics of the Shindaiwa 550 I received from another forum member.
It is a 550 but the only complete chain brake I had at the moment was for a 695.
Interesting side note. I live in Western Oregon and have three 550s in my collection. Two of them came out of the same saw shop in New York and are only separated by 10 on the serial number.

I have a good grip on a smashed tank if you need it, Rich. I can razor knife it off and you can gorilla glue it on.

That saw looks pretty clean. Interesting story on the serial numbers...bet those saws were made on the same day.

Sweet! I see many similarities to the new Echo 590/600/620 family in the cylinder tilt, carb size, bore and stroke and air box configuration. Should be a good runner.
