After 1982 ish is when i remember them coming out...Bob
Bought mine new in july 1978 and Serial # on it is 000457X It was the first one we got in and when I set it up and took it to the wood i walked back in the shop and bought it, Still looks brand new. I was 21 at the time and it felt a lot lighter then then it does now at 54. Dave

Late '78 was the plain jane CS-750 with the points. The CS-750EVL didn't come out until '80 or so. My price sheet from early '78 doesn't even list a 750...Bob

That saw is the same as a Deere 80EV isn't it? Does anyone out there have a good ignition laying around?

Would you explain how you do that? My saw will idle no problem but starts to have intermittent spark as soon as you give it some throttle. I verified the ignition miss with a timing light. I see it has the CDI unit and a separate ignition coil. I do not know which is causing the problem at this point. Thanks for any help.

any idea on a year on evl 750 with the numbers 0038277? tip find, runs like a dream so far!
