Echo CS 620P muffler mod

On a new 620P, I pulled the carb restrictors, remove the tabs and put them back on. When I pulled the muffler I was pleasantly surprised that there is no catalyst inside it. It doesn't seem restricted at all. All I did was to put three holes inside the deflector plate, remove the screen and call it good. Both my 450Ps had catalyst in them and seemed very restricted. They really woke up with muffler mods. I hate to open up this 620P any more. I believe some back pressure is needed on these two strokes. The 620 has the latest porting and ignition changes and is said to be a really hot saw, performance wise. Again, surprised it had no catalyst. Maybe Trump fired the EPA division that's over chainsaws........
Anyone else have muffler experience with the 620Ps?

none of echos 590s-600-620p have cats. they are set a bit lean in factory tune though.

most of echos little saws have cats like 40ccs- my 450p and 530p had cats.
