Hi arboristsite, I have produced a very initial draft of an informative handbook on invasive tree pest species.

From a questionnaire that I produced which was completed by some viewers of this and other tree and invasive pest websites, specialists said that they had extensive knowledge of the subject, but mostly agreed that information on the subject could be more widely available especially given the overwhelming majority agreed that invasive pests posed an enormous threat. Also some advised that I limit my handbook to a few species in a given area. So I chose to do the top 3-5 British invasive pests, aimed at amateur keepers or enthusiasts.

The short handbook book draft linked here: http://imgur.com/gallery/wxLim (let me know if it doesn't work)

It is currently incomplete, It lacks a cover, table of contents and some introductory material, it also only currently covers 2 pests but i will add to it. as well as this it is unpolished in terms of text boxes not being lined up properly. However the main body outlines the formula and all the information that I am currently using to help people identify, understand and know how to respond to the pests.

Part of the information project marks are earned by showing that I have trialed my project and made amendments based on feedback. So i would be very grateful If you could take a look at it and tell me where it needs improving. You can do this in the comments section here, or I have a smart survey link with a few questions to direct feedback, as well as a comment box at the end for further feedback. http://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/F7UXB/

This feedback will be used to produce and extensively more polished product as well as including additional features recommended from the feedback.

Thanks so much for any feedback you can give. The kind people of the internet so far have shown a great deal of enthusiasm and generosity to me.

Public outreach to laypersons can be quite important for tree subjects suchs as this.
Good on ya for doing your part.
