You've got to be careful with that one!
Yes very true....every year the idiots are getting rescued by the Coast Guard. If the CG has issued an ice warning then the first rescue is free, if they gotta come get you again its $$$$. You can always see an idiot pulling a kayak or raft behind to paddle across open water to get to more ice.

So even AFTER they've issued an ice warning, they'll come get you for free?

Now I go cut some more but most of the woods and access lanes are still pretty soft from the thaw.

Got lucky in that the utility company is coming out to cut down trees that are under the power lines ... no charge. They leave the trunks and put the branches through the chipper. They marked 3 for removal, nice size for firewood, 2 Ash and 1 Hickory. I've been wanting those gone for a couple of years now. Good timing on their part. By the end of the summer I will have just over 12 cords.

I am jealous of all of you. Broke/rolled/sprained my ankle I have been sitting home for almost 2 months now. chomping at the bit to go started PT and I thought I was good I got home and my ankle swelled up hurts to walk Doc is sending to a specialist joint doctor we will see... not holding hope though. I have been making use of the time off I assembled a 61, 272, 288 and am working on a 61-272 hybyrd thingy if I can make it go, we will see I need throttle linkage, might have to order that one think Im about out of parts for them. Set up my chain grinder, timber tuff I think its a Oregon 510 knock off I think closest I can tell form pictures anyhow. I've ground a few chains but I havnt run any yet...So BORED just sitting here waiting for the my foot to heal...watching the grass grow

Yesterday I finally finished up that nasty, stringy, tough old elm I had layin' in the yard... I've had enough of that for a while, it fought me every inch on the splitter.
There's a couple of Black Cherry that came down over winter... can always use a little fire pit wood, and it'll be like a vacation after that last elm.
At least I'm gettin' out and tryin' to burn off some of this winter fat... but it ain't commin' off in any big hurry.
Seems the older I get, the faster I put it on, and the longer it takes to remove it :(

Hahahaha, what kind of fool do you take me for?! I have a nice insulated ice shack with propane and electric heater when I can remember the generator. This year myself and an old friend or two spent many a day and night out there until long after midnight!
BUTTTTTTTT. did you catch anything,,other than bottle bass???????:laughing:

I got a glimpse of the tarp covering my splitter poking out of the top of the snow drift it's under yesterday.
 That sucks for you‼
Seriously, I know it ain't funny... but it sort'a is for us sittin' here in a tee-shirt and bare foot with the door open.
I really do hope spring comes to ya' soon... ya' just gotta' forgive me for my transgressions... please??
