Finally got all of my goodies assembled, strapped everything together, and found out that chainsaw milling isn't half as hard as I though it might be.

I'm using an old husky 2100, 48" granberg, and a 50" cannon bar with full skip 3/8's round chisel.

Also wound up with some 38"ish by 8.5 ft ambrosia maple slabs.

Raising the log at one end = single greatest contribution to my success.

Isn't that beautiful!:rock:Wish I'd been there to see it right after the slice was taken off. Something special about that never to be seen again look. Slice safe & enjoy
