To me and you it's pretty dumb. To somebody who is starting out low on cash and tired of breaking their back it might not be. I've seen many threads open with new guys looking for alternative methods for moving big wood on long drags who can't afford a mini or full size loader yet. This isn't my craigslist ad I... just stumbled across it and thought there might be a slight chance it could help somebody out. Isn't help what people come here for? I know I do. Or is it only to spread negativity? Thanks for the comments though. It was a beautiful day!

This is not the thread to put in this forum, put it in the homeowners,,
What is in bold in your reply is proof it does not belong here,
Also, when you say 'To somebody who is starting out low on cash and tired of breaking their back',
If you are just starting out, how can you be tired?
If you can not man handle the little load that thing can, you ain't starting out , you are retired.

I would like to say in my defense, this is the pro forum, I would have given a much different response in the correct forum or thread. It was a really beautiful day!

Just because this specific tool wouldn't work in your arsenal doesn't mean it's for the homeowner section. I didn't know you already had a spec sheet on this tools capabilities. And being a "Pro" doesn't have anything to do with your physical abilities or your equipment, I'm not sure who told you that one. Not everyone starts off with all of the big bad equipment like the company that employs you has. For a thousand bucks I'm sure this will help a little company out somewhere. Beats 30K for a new mini for somebody new to the business. All I was trying to do was help somebody out who needed it. Didn't ever need one negative comment to land on here, thanks again for yours though!

I think you'll be one of the only "pros" here who actually believes this, but I hope you have a beautiful day!

Definitely investing in a claw next the grapple is nice but adds 1'4" to the length of the lift arm making her a little heavy out front sometimes!

Keeping it close definitely makes a huge difference! With the BMG you can get some big ones up if you get them behind the heel plate far enough. I think both grapples have their place on different jobs though.

I just mounted a winch to the front of my dumper so i can load 20' logs (they bring double at the mill vs the 12'6" and 8'6" stuff) the claw would be nice to help them along
