Timber wolf, In Canada you guys have MMT in your pump gas, which is the main ingrediant of over the counter ocatne boosters. Thats why your plugs have rusty looking deposits on them.

Yes MMT in the better products! and they have not banned that yet, who knows?
But what about the Ethyl, methyl, and isopropal alcohol, acetone, and toluene? A lot of the products are made up of stuff that can be picked up far cheaper at a paint store.

I have seen Tolulene octane based octane boosters , but none of the others. In the USA most octane boosters are MMT based and a few Tolulene, but thats bout it.
