I have an opportunity to acquire a large Eucalyptus log, or 2, or 3. I'm told this tree is 12' in diameter. I'm thinking he means circumference, but I haven't seen it yet. Still a BIG tree. If its 12' circ then I'm looking at 4'dia. I can handle that. I wouldn't know where to begin if its 12' dial. I'm going to look at it next weekend, ill post pics.

Purchase ? - best place to put a value on it will be laying on the ground, see any pipes etc then.

Plenty of Euc.'s 12ft dia at ground level, DBH is where they can thin/taper down in a lot of cases.

I'll be getting it for free. The faller will have a crane there. I have to come up with truck or trailer to hall. Here in Tucson, the largest tree on record is a eucalyptus 6' in Dia 95' tall. I drive all over the city and surrounding area and have yet to see a tree bigger than that.
