I just looked at a job in a suburban backyard in Wells, Maine that is bigger than any I have done before. Homeowner want's a 30' by 75' swath of forest removed. There are white pines, hemlocks and some hardwood (which we will take for firewood.) I my plan is to cut the softwood logs into 8' lengths and pile them by the road for a logger to take away. I think there will be between 12 and 20 good logs. I only know one logger and he does not work in this area. Any ideas?
