Got a 371 that I recently been working on and cannot get it fixed. It cuts off in the cut or when tilted slightly backwards. I ckd the fuel/impulse lines and cleaned the carb. reassembled and same problem. Switched coil and same problem. You can be giving it throttle and it just turns off when tilted back. Then you can fire it back
up and it runs great until you tilt it again or cut with it. I tried cutting with it tilted forward and it does fine. Anybody who has had this issue chime in and let me know what you found or what to look for.

Check your kill switch wires as well while your at it.
With the AV mounts flexing you could have a rub mark (bare wire) and it might be grounding out in that position.
Bingo!!! found a rub place on the wire against the AV. Fixed the wire and will test the saw to make sure but I bet you nailed it. Good call.
